How You Can Blossom with Spring

Spice Up Your Spring with Fun Activities

For many people, spring is one of the more monotonous times of year. Any season, for that matter, can lose its appeal after a while—even summer.

The good news is that there are so many fun activities you can engage in, all of which will put a spring in your step! Jokes aside, it might be a good idea to switch up your routine if you find that your level of springtime motivation has faltered over time.

You might, for example, try out some simple outdoor activities, like picnicking, hiking, or even hosting a family barbecue. You could also do something more rigorous, like running, biking, swimming, or even birdwatching. And, when the warm weather finally rolls around, try sailing, rock climbing, or visiting theme parks—the possibilities are practically endless!

Here are just a few simple ideas to get you thinking about the best ways to spend your spring.

Getting More Sun and Fresh Air

Part of the reason that the seasons can become dull is that we become accustomed to their repetitive weather patterns. But with the pandemic and all of these pesky quarantines, one of the best things you can do for yourself is to get outside for a few minutes, or even a few hours.

Often, we forget the raw power of plugging into nature and instead choose to spend our lives sequestered inside, which is shocking, because there are so many health benefits, both physical and mental, in something as easy as breathing the crisp spring air!

Taking Long Walks to Detox the Skin

It’s also a great idea to take walks—you can even meet new people on your little adventures who also appreciate the beauty of nature!

Longer walks are particularly therapeutic, which is why you should try to do them as consistently as possible. I’ve found that the best time of day for a spin around the neighborhood is in the afternoon, after things heat up a bit. This, of course, is a matter of personal preference, so if you prefer the cold, go for it! After a stroll in the fresh air, you will notice that your skin has taken on a healthier glow, because all kinds of toxins have been released.

One Way That I’m Going Blossom by Spring

In the winter, I’m getting a facelift to take care of all these wrinkles I’ve accumulated in my old age. I wish that walking was enough to get rid of all this drooping skin, but unfortunately, I need a more permanent solution.

There’s a reason why I’ve scheduled the facelift for the winter; it’s so that I can blossom like a butterfly in the spring! While it’s snowing outside, I’ll spin myself a cocoon in the house, and when all of the ice melts, I’ll burst out into the world with a youthful grin!

Train Yourself to Get Up Early and Exercise at Dawn

In one way or another, everyone wishes that they had more time to do the things they love. I felt the same way until I realized that, really, we all have time and just aren’t aware of it!

The earlier you wake up, the more time you will have not only to seize the day, but to engage in the hobbies and activities you enjoy most. Putting more time into your day will also speed up your metabolism, which, coupled with an early workout, can help you lose weight. It takes time for the brain to wake after being unconscious for so long, which is why exercise can be an especially effective jump-start. Enjoying a hearty breakfast will also give your body more time to freshen up, which is particularly important to keep in mind when you see other people early in the morning, because let’s face it—even the youngest person with the most perfect skin looks like a monster at the beginning of the day! So, push through the pain of an early rise, and you’ll be able to reap some of the countless benefits of waking up earlier than usual.
